01 Approach

The bridge between blueprint and build.

I lead projects where strategy meets execution, where a Gantt chart has to agree with vendors, infrastructure, and compliance. That intersection is where budgets die. I keep them alive.

For twenty-five years I've quietly delivered the infrastructure people expect to just work: the Wi-Fi in the stadium concourse, the security backbone at 63 school campuses, the network gear that turns an airport lounge into revenue.

I'm a PMP-certified project leader specializing in the operational seam between technical deployment and construction administration. RFIs, submittals, vendor negotiations, As-Builts, stakeholder reporting. That's the unglamorous work that separates a project landing under budget from one that bleeds for a year.

I'm available for selective consulting engagements in the Austin / Central Texas corridor and remotely.

Three projects, one pattern: deliver under budget.

Sports & Entertainment

High-density Wi-Fi for a 65,000-seat stadium

Hard Rock StadiumAT&T Wi-Fi Services2016–2018

A packed stadium is a hostile radio environment. Fans expected LTE class performance on Wi-Fi, but the construction window was locked to the NFL calendar, any slip meant launching to empty seats. Legacy cellular was buckling under 20%+ congestion on game days.

$4.7M security modernization across 63 facilities

Round Rock ISDBond-funded capital program2022–2024

A bond-funded security overhaul across 63 campuses: access control, surveillance, alarm. Fiscal transparency was mandatory: every line item had to trace back to a public bond document.

Nationwide airport lounge Wi-Fi at 250+ locations

AT&T Wi-Fi ServicesMajor carrier partnership2014–2016

Launch premium Wi-Fi across 250+ airport lounges nationwide. Each one had a different landlord, a different construction standard, and a different local permitting regime. Every month of delay was lost subscription revenue.

05 In their words

Trusted by teams that can't afford to miss.

Carlos and I were introduced to each other during a large security upgrade project, involving multiple stakeholders and the demo of an old access control and intrusion detection system spread across 75+ buildings. The job was a total rip and replace of an existing security system that hadn't been maintained very well. There was a lot of challenges, all of which were overcome. Carlos was instrumental in the project management and coordination of the owners requirements as we deployed the new system.

Carlos served as a project manager for several bond funded technology projects. The largest project involved a complete replacement upgrade to our access control system that cost over $5M and involved working with multiple stakeholders and tracking progress and expenditures. Carlos is very organized and is a team player with great technology skills.
