The Journey to Elite PMO Services
My path to project management wasn't typical. Starting as a Network Center Technician at AT&T in 2000, I learned the intricate details of how critical infrastructure operates—knowledge that would prove invaluable in my future PM roles.
Over 14 years at AT&T, I progressed from handling individual customer installations to managing large-scale deployments of 200+ sites. This hands-on technical foundation gives me a unique advantage: I understand not just how to manage projects, but how the technology actually works.
The Pivot to Strategic Leadership
In 2014, I transitioned to AT&T WiFi Services as a Senior Technical Project Manager, where I discovered my true calling—orchestrating complex, high-visibility projects. From SXSW to DFW Airport, I managed cross-functional teams to deploy critical infrastructure under intense deadlines.
Key Achievement
Started and managed AT&T's Airport Club WiFi program, partnering with three major airlines across 250 clubs and increasing revenue by $2 million annually.
Building PMO Excellence
In 2020, I joined Round Rock ISD and helped to establish their Project Management team. By implementing robust governance and processes, we transformed how the IT department delivers projects using a hybrid of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
My crowning achievement was leading the district's largest infrastructure project in 20 years: a complete access control system overhaul affecting 63 buildings and 6,300 employees, delivered 2% under the $4.7M budget.
Why PMO as a Service?
After years of seeing organizations struggle with project delivery—either lacking PM expertise or unable to justify full-time PMO costs—I realized there was a better way. Organizations need enterprise-grade project management when they need it, without the overhead.
That's why I launched my PMOaaS practice: to bring Fortune 500-level project management to organizations that need results, not bureaucracy.
